 Jay Readers, it's club season, party season, holiday season, celebrating season...

There is a party every weekend, even every day in NYC.

I went to an appreciation party for Thanksgiving a week ago and I noticed that I wasn't feeling it. It didn't give the vibe and fun like it used to. Nope, it wasn't just that party, it was the same energy from the few I went before. Idk. Maybe those late night, dark, weed smelly, stand up all night parties are no longer a thing for this almost 40 y/o woman.

Butttt, I do work on weekends so maybe that's why I'm not feeling that scene anymore.

I'm tired!

Excited about this post because i'm really pleased at how creative I can be...sometimes The look for this week is the shorts suit or "shorts separates"  as Ebony (pictured) put it. Basically a pair of cute shorts, with a top/blouse and a sleek blazer. My hair is a fresh bantu-out, necklace and tank from h&m, "shorts" from Danice, shoes from random store down town Manhattan (I was actually trying to sell these...and still kinda am lol), scarf from random store and bag from Rainbow Now a little info on the shorts... Its actually a tube romper!! Was going to wear it as is for this post, but to be a little more creative I just tuck the top part in (you can't even tell huh?!) and voila, I got myself some cute shorts!! Big Chopped!

So yes I big chopped! I have about 1-2 inched of hair on my head right now and I gotta tell you, I'm loving it! LOL It was sort of a spur of the moment decision. I mean, I was thinking about it for a while (since I took out the crochet braids) but never thought I would do it. Then one night, in the middle of Prison Break I just went for it. Just. Like. That. That was November 1st. Well, since then I've bin doing twist outs with my usual products (blue magic leave in, almond oil), but I just purchased a new twist out product from the 'As I Am' brand. I heard good things about the line and can't wait to try it! It's all about healthy hair for me now. I'm not stressing it. No color (hopefully, cause I'm thinking of  blue black *sigh*) and definitely no heat. I want my hair to grow out healthy and strong; looking, feeling and being. If that makes sense.  I would be trying out different things like rod sets (if possible), straw sets, wash and go ...
