This style was a long time coming. I put it off because I knew it would take up a lot of time and would be quite tedious to accomplish, especially on short hair. Well my cousin offered to help. Four hands are better than two (in this case) so we went for it. State of Hair - dry, stretched and sectioned Products Used - small straws (cut in halves and thirds) -coconut oil (for scalp) - As I Am twist define cream -gel -comb -bob pins Time - about 2.5 hrs Set Time - from about 6pm-1.30pm (next day) Next day Results 2nd day Results Thoughts I had a lot of flake-age the next day. The straws and clips were extremely uncomfortable to sleep with, BUT I will try this style again in a couple months using different  products and probably bigger straws ;) Blessings J

 My hair update... 3 weeks in (9.24.13) What brand of hair is it? Model Model- water wave Was it difficult to achieve the look? On a scale on 1-10, 10 being the most difficult, I would say 8 (for me) Did you manipulate the hair after install? Yes, I have my hair lady cut it down a bit/made it less full Does the hair tangle? Yes. But nothing a little tlc couldn't help. I also have to clip some "fuzz" out What have you bin using on your scalp/ roots? A mixture of tea tree oil, almond oil and water every 3 days or so What have you bin using on the hair? The same mixture stated above. ( some say conditioner and water works wonders too) Would you use this hair again? Maybe not How was the washing process? I used Conditioner only and the hair took to it ok. It did get a bit stiff. I wore this get up to visit my bestie today. All I knew was I wanted to wear this floral leggings from Danice and I based my outfit around it. My t shirt is from Danice, denim shirt from h&m, shoes from Vim and bag gifted.  Have a great weekend!! Blessings J

I blame Ms Vaughn for this!! lol Check out her video here to see how pretty her blow out is. A couple months ago I told myself " no more heat"... well I lied *sigh* I love the length I get when my hair is stretched, but I have to wait two days after my wash to achieve a fully stretch look, so out came the blow dryer. 1. My hair was washed and conditioned...I also deep conditioned for an hour. I detangled with my regular leave in conditioner of the moment (Cantu Shea Butter leave in) 2. I applied the treseme heat protectant to my hair section by section and blow dried tension method (as seen in Ms Vaughn's video) 3. Lastly I applied some Olive Oil to the hair and twisted (mainly to keep the finished sections out of the way) The results :) Day of ~ before the flat twists The next day~ post flat twists :) 2nd day Best blow out results since I've bin loose natural (I always say loose natural because I had locs before, which is also ...

Can it please stop raining!! Now that its getting warmer, I want to rock my hair out and try different styles.  *sigh* Oh well, I just went for it. Rain or shine I was gonna get my flexi rod set ON. ~I co washed my hair with Suave Naturals Conditioner ~ De-tangled with Cantu leave in and a little Olive Oil (not pictured) ~ Applied African Pride curling pudding (New) & a little Olive oil Gel (not pictured) ~ Slept on it. OUCH The Next Day What do you think about the look? I happen to like the outcome very much, but surly may hair reverted in the rain :/ (next time I will use a size smaller than the orange rods for the back) (I had to blow dry the back a bit the next day) Check out the video down below :) Blessings J
