Style me Friday: Monochromatic ~ A link up

Excited for this weeks Style me Friday! I get to wear my favorite color, green!

The week's inspiration is the monochrome look using color (meaning, no back no white)- (same color, different hues or different colors of the same "family", like pastels, neon etc.)



I put together two looks this week.


Blouse: Rainbow    Jeans: Tick Tock    Heels: Necessary Clothing       Flats: DeJaniero    Pink Bag: Rainbow
Green bag: Dr Jays

Which look do you like best...Flats or heels?



Off topic, I started using the Cover Girl (queen collection) 3 in 1 foundation. The shade I have on here is  'spicy brown' which is a tad too dark for me when it sets. I also have  the shade 'mocha' that I purchased before, and its a bit too light. So I guess I will be mixing these two to create the right shade. Oh fun.

    Great color choice! I really like the sheer top. I couldn't really see the heels so it's hard to say which I liked best but I'm sure both were equally cute.

    I like the flats more, but then again, I wear flats more than heels so maybe I'm the wrong person to answer, ha!

Excited about this post because i'm really pleased at how creative I can be...sometimes The look for this week is the shorts suit or "shorts separates"  as Ebony (pictured) put it. Basically a pair of cute shorts, with a top/blouse and a sleek blazer. My hair is a fresh bantu-out, necklace and tank from h&m, "shorts" from Danice, shoes from random store down town Manhattan (I was actually trying to sell these...and still kinda am lol), scarf from random store and bag from Rainbow Now a little info on the shorts... Its actually a tube romper!! I wore this get up to visit my bestie today. All I knew was I wanted to wear this floral leggings from Danice and I based my outfit around it. My t shirt is from Danice, denim shirt from h&m, shoes from Vim and bag gifted.  Have a great weekend!! Blessings J

Big Chopped!

So yes I big chopped! I have about 1-2 inched of hair on my head right now and I gotta tell you, I'm loving it! LOL It was sort of a spur of the moment decision. I mean, I was thinking about it for a while (since I took out the crochet braids) but never thought I would do it. Then one night, in the middle of Prison Break I just went for it. Just. Like. That. That was November 1st. Well, since then I've bin doing twist outs with my usual products (blue magic leave in, almond oil), but I just purchased a new twist out product from the 'As I Am' brand. I heard good things about the line and can't wait to try it! It's all about healthy hair for me now. I'm not stressing it. No color (hopefully, cause I'm thinking of  blue black *sigh*) and definitely no heat. I want my hair to grow out healthy and strong; looking, feeling and being. If that makes sense.  I would be trying out different things like rod sets (if possible), straw sets, wash and go ...
