2013 Birthday ~ 8/28

My Birthday outfit this year is probably not what you expect. I wanted something sexy but still very comfortable. Truth be told, I don't like dressing up too much. Yes I can be a girly girl and I like nice clothes and love playing in makeup now an again, but i'm the most confident when I'm dressed casual and comfortable



Any way. I actually changed my outfit last minute from a shirt and skirt to this Know Style cropped top and Conway maxi skirt ( I always wear green on my birthday). Yup, finally found a maxi skirt that caught my eye! I found my sandals, super cheap, at Atmosphere Shoes, earrings from street vendor and Bag from F21.


We ate at the cheese cake factory. I got chicken tortillas, with corn and black beans YUM!!
I took home a slice of pineapple upside down cheese cake too




So the next day my cousin and I went to Coney Island. Guess who was there, randomly for a photo shoot or something?? The one and only Queen B, Bey, Mrs Carter, King B, Beyonce!! LOL 
I didn't take any pictures but I got a little  footage on my Birthday Vlog on my YT channel. We were so excited :D The day we decide to go there, she just happen to be there. WIN!

Excited about this post because i'm really pleased at how creative I can be...sometimes The look for this week is the shorts suit or "shorts separates"  as Ebony (pictured) put it. Basically a pair of cute shorts, with a top/blouse and a sleek blazer. My hair is a fresh bantu-out, necklace and tank from h&m, "shorts" from Danice, shoes from random store down town Manhattan (I was actually trying to sell these...and still kinda am lol), scarf from random store and bag from Rainbow Now a little info on the shorts... Its actually a tube romper!! Was going to wear it as is for this post, but to be a little more creative I just tuck the top part in (you can't even tell huh?!) and voila, I got myself some cute shorts!! Hit me Floral one more time!!

Big Chopped!

So yes I big chopped! I have about 1-2 inched of hair on my head right now and I gotta tell you, I'm loving it! LOL It was sort of a spur of the moment decision. I mean, I was thinking about it for a while (since I took out the crochet braids) but never thought I would do it. Then one night, in the middle of Prison Break I just went for it. Just. Like. That. That was November 1st. Well, since then I've bin doing twist outs with my usual products (blue magic leave in, almond oil), but I just purchased a new twist out product from the 'As I Am' brand. I heard good things about the line and can't wait to try it! It's all about healthy hair for me now. I'm not stressing it. No color (hopefully, cause I'm thinking of  blue black *sigh*) and definitely no heat. I want my hair to grow out healthy and strong; looking, feeling and being. If that makes sense.  I would be trying out different things like rod sets (if possible), straw sets, wash and go
