Joe's Shanghai

The guy and I went to Joe's Shanghai this past Tuesday.

The wait wasn't too long and the atmosphere was pretty chill and fun!


I ordered the shrimp and chicken in plum sauce (#73) with white rice and red wine. My guy had white wine, soup and pork dumplings. He ate most of my food lol. It was surprisingly delish. I say that because it was something completely different for me and you know how that could go sometimes!!



I wore my hair in a (sideshow bob ) puff lol, tank from Rainbow, skirt from Danice, MK bag and (last summer) flats from Rainbow.



Had a great time!

    I'm cracking up at your comment about the soup "it doesn't taste all that bad but it doesn't taste good either"! Soup can definitely be hit or miss.

Excited about this post because i'm really pleased at how creative I can be...sometimes The look for this week is the shorts suit or "shorts separates"  as Ebony (pictured) put it. Basically a pair of cute shorts, with a top/blouse and a sleek blazer. My hair is a fresh bantu-out, necklace and tank from h&m, "shorts" from Danice, shoes from random store down town Manhattan (I was actually trying to sell these...and still kinda am lol), scarf from random store and bag from Rainbow Now a little info on the shorts... Its actually a tube romper!! I wore this get up to visit my bestie today. All I knew was I wanted to wear this floral leggings from Danice and I based my outfit around it. My t shirt is from Danice, denim shirt from h&m, shoes from Vim and bag gifted.  Have a great weekend!! Blessings J

Big Chopped!

So yes I big chopped! I have about 1-2 inched of hair on my head right now and I gotta tell you, I'm loving it! LOL It was sort of a spur of the moment decision. I mean, I was thinking about it for a while (since I took out the crochet braids) but never thought I would do it. Then one night, in the middle of Prison Break I just went for it. Just. Like. That. That was November 1st. Well, since then I've bin doing twist outs with my usual products (blue magic leave in, almond oil), but I just purchased a new twist out product from the 'As I Am' brand. I heard good things about the line and can't wait to try it! It's all about healthy hair for me now. I'm not stressing it. No color (hopefully, cause I'm thinking of  blue black *sigh*) and definitely no heat. I want my hair to grow out healthy and strong; looking, feeling and being. If that makes sense.  I would be trying out different things like rod sets (if possible), straw sets, wash and go ...
